The position will be based in Cardiff or Chester – when applying please ensure you state your preference. Applicants must hold current Conductor competence.  If you do not meet this criteria, your application will not be considered.

Are you passionate about Learning & Development? If you are we have an exciting secondment opportunity within the Learning & Development team for a Commercial & Operations Trainer based in either Cardiff or Chester. Please note that on applying you must state your preferred location. 

This is a great time to join the Learning & Development team. You will have the opportunity to deliver company inductions to new colleagues, refresher days, short training activities and support the delivery of training programmes for Conductors, Stations colleagues and the wider business. The role involves training many elements of operational and commercial training for both new and existing colleagues.

You need to be a great coach, mentor and trainer with the ability to create and deliver innovative and engaging sessions.

Good computer skills and excellent communication skills are a must in this role, as well as being flexible to do whatever is required of the Learning & Development team. Being flexible, sometimes working unsociable hours, and able to travel extensively across our network spending time away from home is essential. 

Ideally you will hold an assessor’s qualification or be willing to complete this within 6 months of your appointment as well as obtaining a training qualification whilst you are with the team.
