Transport for Wales Rail Services is expanding its experienced team to deliver its ambitious Station Improvement Plan which will see c.£200 million investment in railway stations across Wales over the next 15 years. We will provide an important gateway to our cities, towns and villages, creating an integrated, accessible network of which Wales can be proud.
Over the next five years, this investment in our railway stations will play a significant part in bringing these plans to fruition and to do this we need a capable Junior Planner to join our team on a fixed term contract basis until 2024.
As Junior Planner you will be a lead person within TfWRS for the planning of the programme of projects across the Wales and Borders network. Reporting to the Head of Station Projects, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, communicating the planning of the works across various workstreams and business units. You will develop programmes from conception to delivery, liaise with external contractors and suppliers as well as with managers and engineers on the progress of projects and to address any issues that may arise.
The successful candidate will possess good analytical and planning skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels. You will be a confident relationship-builder, able to work across different business areas to deliver change and will be a proven well-organised team player.
