We have an exciting opportunity in our Commercial function for a new Commercial Analysis Manager, responsible for leading the production of all commercial analysis and reporting within the Revenue team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with data and generating insight. The role will involve manipulation and analysis of large and often complex datasets, with a key focus on drawing out conclusions and recommendations for improvement to be shared throughout the business. Reporting into the Head of Revenue, in this role you will manage two members of staff to help you achieve these objectives and formally deputise for the Head of Revenue as required. You will also liaise directly with key external stakeholders such as Transport for Wales, Department for Transport, Rail Delivery Group and Keolis UK.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
· A desire to understand and solve complex problems.
· The ability to manipulate complex datasets and create easy-to-understand and insightful outputs.
· Commercial awareness and a desire to understand the key drivers of business success.
· Previous experience of managing people, either directly or as part of a team/project.
· A passion for continuous improvement.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· The ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
· An advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience working in a Commercial rail environment would be an advantage. Education to degree level would also be desirable.
