With a multi-million pound transformation of the wales and borders franchise on the horizon, we have an exciting opportunity within the Learning and Development Team.
We are currently recruiting for a full time Driver Trainer to be based at Chester Training Centre. We would like to fill this role permanently but will consider a secondment, if appropriate.
As a member of the L&D Team, you will be responsible to conduct initial learning, development and coaching to a range of both new and existing Operational colleagues including Drivers, Instructors and more, with a strong focus on ensuring they can safely carry out the tasks of their role and provide an excellent customer experience. You will work as part of a close team in L&D and work with other managers within the driver function, operations standards, safety and more.
Key elements for the role are enthusiasm, passion and motivation in helping people Learn and develop. Excellent communication and IT skills are needed too.
The successful candidate will need to have held Driver competence for a minimum of 3 years. An Assessor’s qualification is desirable, although applications from candidates working towards this qualification, or happy to commit to work towards gaining this qualification will also be considered. This role requires an element of flexibility, as sometimes the role involves travelling and staying overnight as needed.
