    We have a new opportunity for a Shunter Driver at our maintenance depot in Canton, Cardiff

    As a Shunter Driver, you will ensure the safe control of movement of our trains and vehicles on the running lines within the depot. You will also shunt and uncouple trains as well as preparing them for service - including brake tests. When required, you will move our trains to their required position within the depot.

    Additionally, you will carry out yard cleaning, ensure the accommodation is clean and tidy at all times and perform the occasional maintenance of the track infrastructure within the depot.

    The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate high levels of concentration, be a strong team player, be able to use own initiative whilst adhering to our strict rules procedures and be committed to working towards the continual improvement of the depot.

    The successful candidate will need to pass the driver assessment process

    We have an exciting opportunity for two Control Centre Manager’s to join us; you will take responsibility for and manage the day to day operations of our busy Control Centre and the company’s train operations.

    Customers are key to what we do therefore, you will manage, lead and develop your team to continuously deliver a high-quality customer experience, whilst meeting operational safety and performance standards. You will work to ensure a real time delivery of the timetable, through use of the processes for incident management, service recovery, contingency planning and information.

    You will need to be an excellent communicator as you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as Network Rail, as well as being expected to represent the organisation at rail industry groups.

    You will need a solid understanding of railway geography and operating and safety procedures, along with good knowledge of rules and regulations, fleet route availability, traincrew conditions of service and diesel multiple unit characteristics and instructions.

    As an integral member of the procurement and sustainability teams, the role will develop, innovate, implement and manage the sustainability impacts of our supply chain throughout our business.

    The role will focus on engaging effectively with key stakeholders to deliver sustainability and ethnical procurement strategies in line with the business objectives.  Understanding the environmental, social, and economic impact of our supply chain is imperative to understand our whole life cycle impacts.

    A Degree in an environmental/sustainability subject, preferably with post graduate in supply chain management would be desirable, or equivalent industry experience or track record of a similar role.

    Previous experience of transportation or utility supply chains is also desired.
