    Working in our Chester Station 35 hours per week that will include weekends, Bank Holidays, early starts and late finishes.

    As part of our journey to transform the rail network and the way our society views sustainable travel, we are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as Active Travel Manager.

    This is an exciting role to embed sustainable and healthy travel practices at the heart of our operations, through collaboration with Local Authorities, local communities and our delivery partners. You will work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support the coordination of behaviour change projects, so your ability to form excellent working relationships will be vital.

    In conjunction, your eye for detail will enable you to utilise industry expertise to support the implementation and delivery of our active travel strategy and in infrastructure. You will also manage our station travel plans in order to maximise the value and effectiveness of our improvements, and ensure maximum benefit is given to our customers and communities.

    You will act as our Active Travel role model by championing our sustainable development objectives whilst continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.

    Our plans are ambitious, and you’ll be part of a team that will be working towards changing the face of travel throughout Wales and the Borders.

  • HSEQ Assurance Manager

    We are looking for a HSEQ Assurance Manager to act as the subject matter expert within our Safety & Assurance team to manage the functional safety and assurance delivery to the business through a business partner approach.

     

    Positively interact with business leads to develop the HSEQ business partner approach and agree performance indicators, support models and future improvement activities. Being the persuasive force supporting the HSEQ Systems and standards Manager, HSEQ Business Partners and Risk & Liability Manager to the business.

     

    Having a proactive approach in visiting all operational sites with other managers to engage on safety, environment and risk matters.  Completing risk tours catching risk mitigation actions and deploying strategies through the team.

     

    Give guidance and advice to the teams as the subject matter expert on Risk Management, Liability Claims advice, Safety, Environmental, Sustainability and Resilience (Security Matters).

     

    To promote, enhance and measure the organisational culture programmes through the team including reactive and proactive programmes, training, communication and engagement across the business.

     

    With excellent IT skills, you will be highly competent in report writing, with the ability to provide detailed and meaningful commentary.

     

    You will have previous experience of working within a role such as this, with a strong leadership background, ideally coupled with knowledge railway operations.

You will need to be highly motivated and target-driven, with exceptional written & verbal communication skills and the ability to provide the highest level of service to customers at all times. This is a varied role and the ability to be flexible and work under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude is essential.

    Key requirements:

    ·       Previous customer service experience in a target-based office environment is essential

    ·       You will have proven commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

    ·       GCSE (or equivalent) English Language (C grade or above) is essential

    ·       The ability to speak Welsh is desirable
