    Transport for Wales Rail Services is seeking to appoint an important member of the Marketing Team to lead the management and delivery customer information marketing activity.

    Effective communication of our timetables, station developments, fleet improvements and public facing policies make a vital contribution to the satisfaction of our customers.

    All of these elements are set to significantly improve over the coming months and we need an experienced and delivery focussed individual to promote these changes to all our customers. 

    Several years’ experience of campaign marketing in a branded consumer facing business including planning, proposition development, implementation, supplier management, evaluation and application of insight are essential.

    Welsh language skills are important as is ideally a qualification in a relevant subject.

    Teamwork & collaboration with internal & external stakeholders will be vital.

    The role is a maternity cover contract available for up to 12 months, potentially more.

    As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers at our station and will help with anything that they need, so being a people person is a must. One minute you may be helping a customer rush to a train with their bags, the next, researching train times to a small town in North Wales.

    You could find yourself spending your days at any of the three key areas of our stations; whether it's assisting customers to buy their tickets at our busy Booking Offices or checking customers tickets as they pass through the ticket barriers. You could even find yourself working on the platforms, responsible for the safe dispatch of the trains!

    We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, hardworking cleaner at our Train Care Facility in Machynlleth.

    Keeping our trains clean and presentable is essential for our customers so we’re looking for a person who takes a real pride in their work.

    You will clean both the interior and exterior of our trains, which means the role is a physically demanding one and one which can involve working outside in all weathers.

    As well as cleaning our trains, you will be expected to undertake Depot Cleaning duties, as and when required.

    You’ll be a great team player, with strong communication skills, and an eye for detail. You will also need to be flexible around late nights and weekends to keep our services clean for our customers.

You will also use data and trend analysis provided from our Performance Analysts to generate internal functional Performance Plans and to drive key deliverables for the Joint Partnership Agreement, in conjunction with Network Rail.

    Overseeing the delivery and maintenance of key Grant Agreement milestones and providing updates to senior members of the business, you will be required to undertake presentations to various levels within the management team ensuring all parties have a sound understanding of where their department is in respect to its responsibilities.

    You will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to include Network Rail, as well as building and maintaining relationships with internal teams across the business.

    Experience in leading a team is desired, along with an approachable and adaptable management style.

    As part of our journey across Wales and Borders, we are looking for an experienced and motivated manager to join our team as Delay Attribution Team Manager. A role based both at our Control centre and new, state-of-the-art offices in the centre of Cardiff, this is a central role to help us continue in our mission to become the best railway in the UK.

    A senior role within the Performance Team, reporting into the Head of Performance, we are looking for someone to manage the Delay Attribution team ensuring the attribution process is undertaken successfully in its entirety for TfW. From initial incident creation by Network Rail to either acceptance, or resolution at Level 1,2 or 3, the role involves ensuring the greatest possible benefit achieved in terms of the commercial and regulatory interests of TfW in accordance with the Delay Attribution Guide, and to ensure accuracy of TfW performance data. Key responsibilities also include the management of commercial performance regimes and internal performance engagement, in addition to ensuring the team of Delay Attribution Managers are given the tools to be fully competent in their role.

    You will also be required to support the Delay Attribution team when needed at all levels of delay attribution, in addition to being confident in meetings to challenge decisions made with rationale and sound understanding of the incident in question. Working closely with your team, you will be the referral point for both day to day queries but also more complex cases where attribution is disputed between parties. Ensuring your team work in a timely fashion, according to the rules outlined within the Delay Attribution Guide, you will also undertake Performance Delivery Reviews with your team members, ensuring any performance needs are addressed whether this be through coaching or other methods.

    We are looking for someone who is passionate about service delivery with a diplomatic approach to problem solving, in addition to holding an assertive but sensitive management style. The role will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, as well as building and maintaining relationships with internal teams across the business. Holding sound leadership skills is key to influencing these cross-functional teams and you must be comfortable working with differing levels of seniority throughout the business.

    The role will focus on engaging effectively with key stakeholders to deliver procurement strategies in line with the business objectives.  Track record of managing the end to end tender process is desired along with strong commercial focus with experience of leading supplier negotiations.

    Previous experience of Category Management is essential in IT and indirect goods and services. Experience in the Rail Industry is also desired.

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Clerk to join our busy team on a temporary basis until March 2020.

    As Payroll clerk, you will ensure all payroll information is processed in an accurate and timely manner, working to meet weekly deadlines. You will work with multiple departments to ensure all payroll information is received, as well as holding responsibility for producing Adhoc reports and management data as and when requested by internal departments.

    You will work as part of a small team, so being an excellent team player is a must, along with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

    An understanding of statutory payments, such as tax, national insurance, SSP and SMP and the ability to learn complex pay terms and conditions quickly is advantageous.
