The ideal candidate will be customer focused with excellent communication skills. As you will be required to serve alcohol, it is essential you are a minimum of 18 years of age.

    Do you want to help us to maintain our trains?

    If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our Fleet team at our Traincare Facility at Machynlleth.

    You will be pivotal in helping us to achieve our high standards of Train Maintenance and fault diagnosis while sticking to strict safety procedures and following VMI’s. This in turn will ensure our targets are not only consistently met, but improved on, which is a key focus for our organisation.

    The role also holds Team Leader responsibility at times, when required, therefore strong leadership skills and experience is a must.  

    You will hold a recognised apprenticeship with a minimum of NVQ Level 3; you will be a team player, have good knowledge of covering Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electrical systems and possess an innovative approach to problem solving.  You will have strong communications skills, a “can do” attitude and be able to demonstrate flexible approach to your work.

    The  position covers a variety of shifts, which includes nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

    With a multi-million pound transformation of the wales and borders franchise on the horizon, we have an exciting opportunity within the Learning and Development Team.

    We are currently recruiting for a full time Driver Trainer to be based at Chester Training Centre.  We would like to fill this role permanently but will consider a secondment, if appropriate.

    As a member of the L&D Team, you will be responsible to conduct initial learning, development and coaching to a range of both new and existing Operational colleagues including Drivers, Instructors and more, with a strong focus on ensuring they can safely carry out the tasks of their role and provide an excellent customer experience.  You will work as part of a close team in L&D and work with other managers within the driver function, operations standards, safety and more.

    Key elements for the role are enthusiasm, passion and motivation in helping people Learn and develop. Excellent communication and IT skills are needed too.

    The successful candidate will need to have held Driver competence for a minimum of 3 years.  An Assessor’s qualification is desirable, although applications from candidates working towards this qualification, or happy to commit to work towards gaining this qualification will also be considered. This role requires an element of flexibility, as sometimes the role involves travelling and staying overnight as needed.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Financial Reporting Team on a permanent basis.

    Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for designing and reviewing the company’s financial processes, ensuring they are effective, efficient and compliant with the guidelines of Arriva Group. As well as this, you will assist the Head of Financial Reporting with the balanced sheet budget and forecasting process and you will hold responsibility for producing and reviewing the balance sheet reconciliations.

    You will also be accountable for the Capital Expenditure budget and reporting process and the management of the PCI DSS compliance and reporting process.

    You will be responsible for leading and directing a team in a highly pressurised environment where attention to detail is key therefore, excellent interpersonal skills are a must.

    Additionally, you will be a self-motivated individual who has a results-focused approach to work.

    The successful candidate must be fully ACCA,ACA or CIMA qualified.
