    As one of our Performance Reporting Analysts you will provide analytical support across not only our business but also our external partners such as Transport for Wales, where you will deliver high quality, timely, business critical analysis. Each day will see you analyse and interpret complex qualitative and quantitative data; drawing conclusions and presenting findings in a compelling way, tailored to the needs of the relevant audience.

     You will look after the day to day management of our performance systems, making sure we deliver accurate, consistent, current and detailed performance information. You will provide advice and assistance through ad-hoc performance reporting to both our internal and external stakeholders, helping to deliver performance strategies and contractual obligations.

     

     About the ideal candidate

    It is not essential to possess an extensive knowledge of railway performance management systems as full training and support will be provided, however, you will need to have excellent communication skills, a high numerical ability and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.

    You will also have a passion for engagement, good attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

    Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be the Professional Head of Occupational Health and Safety, responsible for leading and implementing coherent safety policies, strategies and management systems within our Transport for Wales Rail Services.

    You will be responsible for the HSQE Department and work closely with fellow Directors, senior managers and other colleagues in TFW Rail Services as well as representative bodies.  In addition, your role will work closely with senior level stakeholders and partners such as the Department for Transport, ORR, ATOC, RSSB and Network Rail.

    You must hold Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH) as well as NEBOSH Diploma and Environmental Management Certificate.

    5 years management experience (including in safety management positions) is essential as well as extensive knowledge and experience of occupational health and safety issues, legislation, standards and best practice.

    We have an exciting opportunity for an a Resource Manager to join our Resources Team in our new location, St Patrick's House, Cardiff.   It’s an exciting time to join us as we undergo transformational change and growth in the Wales and Borders.  The new franchise is bringing great opportunities for anyone wanting to build a career in the rail industry.  

    This role ensures our Traincrew and Station staff are rostered to provide 24-hour cover for all our trains, maintaining industry standards and in the most cost effective way.

    You will work closely with our Control and Performance teams, as well as other key functions across the business and will also play a pivotal role in service recovery across our network.

    Often working under pressure, to tight deadlines, you will be able to prioritise, make sound decisions and solve challenging tasks.

    The successful candidate should have:

    ·         Excellent IT and communication skills

    ·         An understanding of Rail industry policies/procedures

    ·         Experience of railway operations or experience of working in a busy resourcing team

    ·         A thorough knowledge of railway geography, especially within the Transport for Wales Rail Services network

    We have an exciting new opportunity to join our busy Revenue Office team.  You will be responsible for supplying TfW Conductors and Great Western train crew with the necessary retailing equipment and supplies they need to carry out their duties, therefore customer service skills are essential. 

    You will be required to supply retailing staff with change and assist with the collection of the daily takings. Additionally you will check shift sheets and accurately record the shift data into our in house IT system, so strong attention to detail and good IT skills are necessary. 

    You will be a strong team player, work well on your own initiative and thrive when working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.  You will have great interpersonal & communication skills and possess the tenacity to solve problems and chase down resolution of matters.   

    You will work a 37 hour  per week (5 out of 7 days per week- including Sundays)  over a variety of shifts:-

    Early - 06:00-14:00hours

    Middle - 07:00-15:00 hours

    Late - 13:30-21:30 hours

    ·        To support and lead the gateline team to ensure the cover of the gateline hours.

    ·        To ensure the team are fully trained on all aspects of gateline revenue such as Star mobile, TVM fingertip maintenance and CUBIC process.

    ·        To encourage fantastic customer service to our passengers at all times.

    ·        The successful candidate must be willing to work towards TAQA within the first 6 months and have assessment responsibility.

    As Duty Manager you will ensure the service meets high standards through real-time management, as well as effectively assessing/coaching your staff and deputising for the Station Manager as required.

    You’ll need great people management skills, drawing on sound judgement and a passion for driving up service standards along with the commitment to motivate your team to continually improve the service they deliver to our customers.

    Happy to work a variable shift pattern including weekends, Bank Holidays and night shifts, you will work 35 hours per week over 5 days.
