We are looking for a motivated and creative individual to join us on a 12 month placement to support the Innovation Manager in the delivery of the Transport for Wales innovation strategy and the TfW Innovation Lab, as an Undergraduate Innovation Specialist.
You will currently be studying towards a degree where innovation is included as a key part of your course.
As part of the role, you will have the opportunity to play an active role in key day to day operations along with a number of exciting projects; this will include supporting with media preparations for campaigns and holding innovation workshops.
Excellent communication skills are a must and you will enjoy engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, not being afraid to ask questions and always wanting to find out more. You will be responsible for creating communication and engagement activities that increase awareness of and interest in the lab, ensuring that regular newsletters are created and distributed.
With a growing understanding of recent technology trends and an appreciation of the ‘start up’ scene, you will possess excellent IT skills and will be excited at the prospect of learning more about this area and developing your skills further.
This role will enable you to gain a greater understanding of how innovation contributes to the overall business strategy and will ultimately improve your readiness for the working environment.
